Hey dudes , u may recall me talking about this on the old forums, a car ive looked at has just popped up again and it stands out. its an 86 turbo exec auto. its in perfect condition. its been owned by an old dude. it has done 220 km, but has been regularly serviced and the things that have gone wrong have been fixed. hes asking 6500 firm, i know prices vary state to state, im in SA, is this too much or okay?

nah, i wouldn't pay that much for it Not unless it was absoltly perfect condition with no rust, etc... maybe 5000 would be more around the mark or even a little bit lower Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Are you serious? 220,000kms I would have thought is puching it... ive seen them advertised for around the same price with mid 100,000kms, although im in victoria... Im no expert but isnt 220,000 a bit too much??

I wouldnt say 220k kms is too much at least half of the cars on this site would have that many or more kms on their clock. if theyve been looked after properly, they'll last for ever...

Nah dude, you can get one cheaper than that in Adelaide. A mate of my bought a Calais turbo in Adelaide for $8000 with 180,000km.

Well like i said im no expert but it would also depend on how the car has been treated over the years, but you can definately find VL's with much less on the clock, you just need to look...

That price would be alright if it came with some mods, but for a grandpa stock exec, 220000 is alright, but it's not exactly low at least a grand off the price i'd still say Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

it all depends what your after really, if you want to keep it stock and just have a nice clean car, than that isnt too much. but if your planning on buying a turbo and workin on it getting it going really good. i wouldnt buy a stock one. but thats just my opinion. andrew
