Thinking about removing the air conditioning (all it's components) from my VLT this weekend. Are there any things I should be aware of when removing the a/c, any tricks or advice? I'm pretty sure it's a straightforward exercise but I thought I'd just ask just in case.
Thanks.

Yeah, venting the refrigerant [gas] to the atmosphere is against the law.
EPA don't like it.
Watch the fittings at the evaporator, if its alloy on steel you could strip some threads, but if your throwing it away don't worry.
Is there a reason why you are removing it??
I'm a pro-airconditioner, i love it, even if it doesn't work, leave it in there for good resale value for the car........
it can be quite a tight fit to get it between the chassis rail and power steer compressor, it does come out though, also you may have to remove radiator to get to the screws which hold the condensor thingy in. they can be hard to get at , and with the gas , just wait till noones looking and let it squirt , even just slightly open the fitting and let it dribble out and put ur bonnet down. anyway good luck
Thanks guys for your help.
Don't have to worry about venting the gas, as there's no gas in it.
Hence I don't use a/c. I only drive the car on weekends and when it's not to hot.
What I was actually thinking was to use the a/c radiator (one in front of normal radiator) for the cooling radiator of the water-to-air intercooler. Been researching the possibilities of installing this type of intercooler, something different for a vlt.
Burtle I don't intend to sell my car in the near future. I'm only just starting to modify/restore her to a respectable level.
Cheers,
