how the **** do you get it to work? i drive along at about 100, and i push every button on the thing, the lights go on and stuff but the cruise just isnt working? if the lights are working then it isnt a wiring problem is it? what the hell is going on?
if everything is working properly, then when you hit the Power button, you will get one light on.. cruise on the speed you want to set it at, and press Reset - should get a second light on. take your foot off and coast along. press the brake, or both Reset and Resume buttons at once to disengage cruise control. slow down.. then press the resume button for the cruise control to take over and speed back up to the speed it was set to previously or Reset to start cruising at the current speed.
If this doesnt work, something isnt working as it should.
scary - i got cruise control on my parents 92 se magna sedan and its a 5 speed mannual ( 4 cylinder ) fyi
i know its not a vl but if its helps answer your question

Yes you can have cruise control on a manual. If you do, there is an extra "switch" on the clutch as there is on the brake pedal, so if you are on cruise control and press either the brake or the clutch, cruise control will disengage...
and the cruise wont work until you are over a certain speed and in the right gear. so ive head anyway. mines an auto
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
cruise wont work till over 40 in a VL. if you are having troubles with it the most likely cause is a dodgy vacuum release line from the servo. To test it disconnect it from the servo (it is the bigger of the 2 air lines going to it) and blow into the hose, no air should pass. If it does then trace it back to the leak. Could be either split hose, cracked elbow join or dodgy vacuum purge valve on the brake pedal.
i disconected one of the vacuum hoses to install my boost guage.. but im pretty sure the one i d/c was for the heater switch.. thats not what you are talking about is it?

no, there should be 2 air hoses going into the cc servo. It is the big black cylindrical thing to the left of the engine (from front of car) with a throttle cable coming from it. test the bigger of the as mentioned above
