Goodaye, I have a mate in the business that loves converting sedans/station wags to utes! Ive seen is work and it is very credible....
and this got me thinking, why not do something different and own a vl ute? if anyone has any pictures or info, could you please offer it as i am serious and would love to own something different.
Critisism is welcome :-)
heh.. I thought about how that would look once...
either really cool or butt ugly the tail lights would really suit it though
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
yeah a vh ute would look funny but then again, i cant justify a vl ute!
my inspiration is a 180 sx with 300 hp out of a 4 cyl turbo.
it looks mint! i wish i could post the pic but its on my hard drive :-/
ive been trying to design the ute with some design programs but nothing really brings it to life.
one guy sent me a pic of an artists impression of the ute...
it has a walkinshaw kit on (obviously no spolier or nething) and had the front looking mint with skirts. I wish i didnt format
ive seen a VL ute in Swan Hill, it was blue, with 17" 5 spoke wheels, it was sweet, but the tail lights were the wagon ones, and it made it look stoopid. thats my 2 cents.
cambee
I saw a vl ute in dandenong.. it looked ****en good!
It was Red I think .. it was a long time ago tho..
Worst thing ive seen tho was a VL Drop top convertible..
*shudder*
Here in W.A we also have two Vl Calais Wagons converted to a nissan patrol base with lift kit huge 4wd tyres etc (Basicaly both monster trucks made from vl calais)
I never saw em with my own eyes but a mate of mine a couple of years ago was 4wdriving up at lano and filmed these 2 beasts running through the dunes! I musta watched the footage 1000 times!
unreal...

That would look pretty sweet..... extend the front doors, make it a 2 door...
Hmmmmm
My mind is ticking over..... should be able to pick up a rolling/rusty body for $50.... now wheres the plasma cutter?
When I was living in Mandurah, I used to see that Blue 4WD VN V8 wagon a bit, it's supercharged too!
And just before I left WA, in the carpark of Bunnings Mandurah, was a 4WD VL Calais wagon, from memory that was a V8 too!
Very cool, had massive ammounts of sheetmetal removed to accomodate the tyres.
