..didnt that RB30DETT powered VL(forget whos it was now - was featured in Zoom a while ago) have something like 20inch rims?
I'm pretty sure you could go to 18's or 19's without too much hassle - you can end up with the same overall diameter using say 17's with 45 profile tyres or 18's with 40 profile tyres.
LOOK AND RIDE LIKE A JET HOPPER?
Little confused at that one.Is it because u cant afford 18's or your envious?
i have a calais lowered 1 inch lower than FE2 18x8 wheels adjustable panhard new shocks and bushes and it looks mad handles unreal
mate.. i was simply stating that with wheels so big you would have to raise the suspension. i have 17 x 8 underneath my calais TURBO and it scrubs.. so i cant see how im being envious. so keep your ****in comments to yourself. wanker.
...haha everyone so quick to jump down each others throats on the net!
As I was told when I was buying the 17" wheels for my EH - the diamater of the wheel/tyres depends on both - not just your rims. I can have the same rolling diameter with a set of 16", 17" or 18" rims if I use suitable tyre profiles. The guy said I could have gone 18" rims and end up with basically the same rolling diameter if I used 35 profile tyres instead of say 45 we actually sat down and worked out the calculations and we got the diameters down to a few mm difference on 15", 17" and 18" rims just by using different profile tyres..
Same goes with width - If you have 8" wide wheels and 245 tyres and the rub you could probably fit 235's to same wheel to reduce the width. :?:
VLT87 put up this link a little while ago if you need help working out tyre sizes and speedo calibrations, you can also use this to work out how different profiles works on different rims
