hey guys, had a bit of an accident the other day. i was doin bout 160km/h down my road and hit a big fat arsed crow!!! it kind of hit the side of the window, the flipped round and hit my drivers side mirror. anyways, to cut a long story short, my side mirror casing was all pushed in and stuff, so i got it back into place, but then noticed the mirror on the inside was jammed in. so i tried to pop it out and....... smash! broken into little tiny bitses!!!   so i was wondering if you can just replace the mirror on the inside, or do you need to buy the whole side mirror casing and everything with the mirror inside it. whichever is the case, any ideas on what price i'm looking at. cheers guys

Just go to a wrecker and buy a secondhand mirror, they are only about 25-30 bucks and take all off 5 minutes to put in. On the inside, just flip the cover off and there are three screws holding the mirror in place. Simple. cheerz morepsi

if u find it hard to get a mirror, which i doubt... you could always go to a glass shop joint.. take the plastic mirror backin in there and tell them to make a mirror up to fit it.. not sure about cost tho.. but ring a few places

Maybe I should clarify, it's the whole mirror assembly, not just the glass itself. Ya know, the adjuster, plastic surround, the whole shebang, but it is very very easy to change.

05/04/02, Florida State Trooper was going home and hit a cow at 65MPH in the fog. He suffered only minor cuts from the glass. The 2001 Ford is not repairable. I know what he had for dinner that night![/img] Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
