i need a blow off valve on my calais turbo just to prolong the life of the turbo, but its an auto, and ive heard that it makes them run like ****, backfiring.. etc. i was just wondering if any of you guys have them on your autos, and if you have had any problems, i was going to get a plumb-back bov because they release the pressure back through the air box, but a good plumb-backed costs near 400 bucks, so im not getting one of those.. andrew

I had one on mine when it was Turbo auto with no probs exept if you were cruising along and real slowly squezed the throttle on it would open slightly but after one drive i relised i just had to open the throttle a little quicker to stop it.Other than that no probs but i cant remember the brand as it was 4yrs ago and i bought the BOV from an import engine centre but it was an external exhaust and fairly large.Never had it backfire either.
