I have heard a few people speak of the Ford transmission behind the RB30 but I have never seen it done, I actually have a C9 behind my V8 Cortina and I can tell you I thrash the arse out off the thing and have had not one problem with the auto they can take alot more punishment than a Tri-Matic, and they weigh in around the same as the Holden tranny, So I too would be intrested in the conversion also.

HYPERFLOW on the forums had a C4 behind his RB25DET VL and also has that same box going to be behind his Toyota powered V8 turbo in the same VL (crazy ****er)!!, maybe give him an email and ask a few q's?? his name is Nathan, good lad [email removed] Still brings me to the same question.. why a ford part  Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ford make good driveline components ie 9" diff. I can use a timatic but yeah i seen a few get disintergrated and the person that will build the tranny if i get it is very well known for building race gearboxes and highy reccomends staying away from the trimatic . the subzero gts-t broke one of those racematic from hugo

mates got a C4 behind his vlt. makes 470rwhp, gone through 4 now. racematic is probaly the go if your only going to run 10's. subzero's skyline makes to much torque for the trimatic.

c4s are stonger then trimatics. who built the c4s for that car. i have seen c4s on cars whith heaps more power then 470rwhp that hold. i am not going trimatic as they are weaker then c4s . sorry for spelling as i am bundy rum affected but yeah c4 is heaps stonger then trimatics. even you said you werre going to go c4 if your racematic broke and they will be good for 700hp.
