Exactly how many VL Aeros were there made? I've only ever seen one in real life. I know there was only 8 to 13 Directors made (depends who you talk to). also how common are Signature series grp 3 vls? also has anyone ever seen any of these cars for sale?

There's a maroon group three for sale on carpoint. Not sure if its genuine or not. If not is bloody dear. How many were exaclty made. Cause on that site sin meantioned it says that theres 300 built from one part of it and in another bit only 38, one of which was maroon but most of them white. I've seen 8 group threes all lined up at a holden day all with papers and plates. Has anyone else got any thoughts on how many Grp 3s there were.

I don't understand.... There were no six cyclinder Aeros made? The only aero I've seen for sale some guy wanted 43 grand for it. Unless its a HDT with an aero kit, but I'm not really sure that its an aero.

Has anyone ever heard of peter champion? He's mates with peter brock and lives near rocky and apparently has a musem in a country town at blackwater with directors and aeros and some vl that only three were made. not sure what this is. He owns most of the ex-hdt race cars too. I think I'm might see when I get back to rocky.

How many VL Aero's made?. Very hard question to answer as there were several different Aero models. Most of the VL Director's were Aero's, i know the first two were not. I have seen a 'Bathurst Aero' with the 560IRS pack. There was also a model just known as the 'Aero' of which i have seen two genuine ones. The VL Group 3 was originally planned to have 300 made all in White but ended up somewhere around 38-39 cars. Some of them have build numbers above those numbers because of requests for certain numbers from people and also the NZ cars etc. I have seen build number 48 for sale which was one of two red sedans i have seen. One of the red sedans was built by HDT from a spare race shell and does not carry a HDT build plate. There is also one Red wagon (#250).
