Just built a new turbo motor and I have no oil pressure. My new autometer gauge never moved of zero. So I pulled the sender unit off and there was no pressure at the unit. I then pulled the filter off and there was no pressure there either. the oil pump looked good when i built the motor. Has anybody else ever had this problem??? Any suggestions????

When you built the pump did you put vasoline in the gears to aid in sucking the oil up? If you didnt what you have to do is fill the oil filter up with oil and apply (low) pressure air into the rocker cover through a pcv hose to force the oil up the oil pump pipe in the sump and crank the engine with the plugs removed and the ignition disabled. And watch the gauge.

fixed it!!!!!!! took out the plugs, unplugged the coil, put 10L of oil in it, turned it over and got pressure! started it up and ran on 60psi at idle.

great question there... I've just rebuilt my RB30 and am having the exact same problem. Will try out your ideas tomorrow and hopefully have the same result.
Cheers! 8)
