I am in need to borrow or rent an engine hoist/crane/stand to be able to take out a motor out of my wreck, and put it in my new shell - possibly need it this weekend or the weekend after (maybe both)... can anyone help me out here ?? know anywhere i can rent one of these im in BRISBANE, and can pick it up and drop it back if need be...

almost any hire place will rent these. my stand currently has a z18et on it so I cant rent u mine

I hired a hoist from Kennards Hire at strathpine and they charged me $44 for 2 days hire... think they screwed up though.. Some hire places have hoists which wont collapse, but the kennards ones do so you can stick it on your boot etc.. If you're doing a straight swap from from car to another of the same make you SHOULD be able to get it done in a day.. Just make sure you've got everything unhooked and as much out of the engine bay as possible.

i'll need it for a few days as i plan to take the motor out this weekend... then get rid of the shell i have... new shell comes next week... plan putting the motor in that the weekend after... i only have a single garage (damn townhouses !!) so can only fit one car in at a time while doing this...
