Hey man first of all, your site is really really good for information. I admire you for the time and effort you have put into your car man, sounds like a weapon already. Ok ill stop grabbleing but you deserve a beer. As i read your site and many posts on here, i have a few questions i would like answered and you seem to be in the know. Here goes, and anyone else. Few Questions.....Keep In mind i have a VL Berlina n/a...... How much all up is the conversion???? Can you drop a VS Series II V8 into the VL? If so what else would need changing. Breaks, gear box??? What other Motor can you drop in there with big gains and under $3000, Skyline gtst. *was this the rb25det??? Does anyone have info on the RB30det hybrid motor? Can you pop rivit down the walky scoop? Like you all I want a weapon. But no matter how much i spend, or do to save myself money, and what not on a N/A. Im getting no where near the gain you guys are. A Turbo seems to be the way to go or a whole engine transplant. Sorry bout the posts, i get curiouse.....think.........and dwell on it. Dangerouse. im not mr carcrazy , but i can answer a few q's for you. if you were to go to the extent that carcrazy has gone to with his engine then itll cost you anywhere up to probably $7000 , engine rebuilding etc + g/box + diff and brakes. it can be done a hell of a lot cheaper but the performance and reliabilty may not be as good as carcrazys im pretty sure the vs v8 will drop in , with a few adjustments here and there. the person to talk to about this would be shane (ovl666 , ovb471 etc etc) walky scoop - im not to sure if they are calkled pop rivots but many panel beaters etc who affix hornet scoops etc to cars use a very similar thing to pop rivots , your best bet would be just to drop in to a pan beaters and ask them , or ask surreal , he will knmow. good luck with ya car.

vs 5ltr will drop in they r the same as the 304 in the vl but just efi top end really. if u r to drop a 5ltr into ur car ur better off to buy a damaged car with a 5ltr and just move everything over, motor, gearbox, diff, etx. also i'm sure u can do this without having to get an enigneer's certific becoz the vl's already came out with 304 soo yeah u can go out and buy everything indervialy (sp) but u'll need up costing u a bit more. with a damage car take what u want and sell the rest. also give rod from the rodshop a bell for a kit to to bolt up a vs gearbox into a vl, he has adaptor kits for anything to go into anything Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
