i scored it for alot less than you'd think... $3500... there are a few slight things wrong with the interior (cause im a fussy prick) but it is in rather good condition. came with boost guage and turbo timer. everything complete and works, all its missing is stereo, engine, gearbox and radiator. Needs a new rear tail light, new front bumper, new seals around the windscreen and its perfect without a fault. There is no rust what so ever on it... plans for it at the present time is to get it on the road with a n/a motor and g/box that i have at present. Then once i have enough cookies, i will pull the car off the road for a bit of a clean up and a turbo motor (possibly something thats been beefed up on the side with a few more horsies than one would expect).

thatwa the one for sale a while ago on the performance forums. Its a good buy i reckon. you could get a nice calaisturbo going there for about 10g's. with a bit of mumbo as well. Keep us up to date with the build, it would be interesting to see how you go. cheerz morepsi

No I.D. plates at all? Stolen and recovered? Looks very clean and straight. Do you know for sure if it was originally a factory turbo? What was the asking price?

3,500 man thats a bit steep!! It needs a bit of work to get it up to an accaptable standard. I wouldn't say that the interior is in that good a condition. You would have been better off spending another grand to get a non turbo one in better condition and sell all the motor and gear box. Well thats my thoughts anyway. What motor is going into it?

3500 seems fairly reasonable for a calais shell of that condition... It has a fairly tidy interior if u ask me, as well as a nice white with blue pearl respray, no rust.. Looks good Mark... u should be cool for some future vl cruises now.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yes.. it was stolen and recovered quite a few years back... i was a bit sus about the "missing" tags on it, till he proved with the proper paperwork that the car had a surrogate number on it... I dont think that 3,500 is steep... if you wanted to go for an immaculate s2 n.a calais, start looking at 6k (minimum) for it, sell the motor and box for about $600, then you need to upgrade the a) engine computer, b) gearbox computer c) wiring loom, d) diff, e) front brakes, f) turbo badges, g) turbo timer, h) boost guage... and THEN you have it up to where i have picked up the shell at the moment... for a few small things (like front bumper, rear taillight (that i already have off my wrecked calais, and new windscreen seals) its a nice neat DAMN STRAIGHT perfect little piece... just right to start a nice project... as previously stated, my n/a motor will go in it for the time being while i buy/build up a turbo motor on the side...

THE car is very clean as for the interior it is the best series 2 interior i have seen and i have seen a fair few over the years.it is immaculate, $3500.00 ISA GOOD PRICE AND IF I DIDNT buy my 2nd calais a few weeks ago i was going to buy it. yes it is the one i posted on PF a few weeks ago. the engine bay needs a clean up apart from that it is very very neat. and dont wasteur time witha turbo mark drop an injected 5.0l in it.
