Hey dude, yeah i only just got my p's a few weeks ago so i know how much you must have been lookin forward to actually having them... Just think though, next time you'll pass with flying colours. You now know how hard/easy the test is and the good thing is you only have to resit the driving (if you passed the written)..... Do what i did, try to drive like a sunday driver!! Good luck for next time dude. :P

Just aim 20cm befor the line next time, that wat if you over shoot your make you'll stop on the line. I talked to my testing officer most of the time to ease the nerves, as long as you don't take your eyes off the road this might help a little. Plus it has the added advantage of distracting them from little mistakes if they're thinking about your conservation. Then again you could get a real ass, and he'll fail you anyway jsut because he can. Hope you get it next go anyway... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I got my p's about 6 months ago, I don't think I should have even got them though considering you don't normally get a testing officer smack you on the arse as your getting in the car and then whilst driving ask about your life story... I was more nervous on what he was gonna do let alone take the test...We drove around for more than half and hour and out of that time I didn't have to do a three point turn, come to a stop sign, go through traffic lights or heaps of other things. In the end he told me I made one mistake which was that my hands were on the steering wheel wrong. It was good that I passed but bad because it was for the wrong reasons...Least you didn't have to put up with that...

**** that turbo chick... I was lucky with mine, where i live we dont have the simulator so i didnt have to do that, and there's no traffic lights... And i only had to do a 20m reverse... Think there were about 5cars on the roads for the day... Piece of piss..

i get to go again for the test next friday, wooohooo better then having to wait 15 days, my friend had the same instructor and when he got in the car she said " dont get to confident, i never pass anyone on the first go" so he just went along n got 95% and she failed him on not stopping close enough next to the curb. in my case i got 98% and stopped 20cm over a frigen line, oh well at least i know now what to expect and not be as nervous

My P's Test was damm easy as well, although i had to do the simulator the guy from vicroads was running late so he took me around like 2 blocks we did one 20m reverse and that was it, took all of about 10 min. Anyway don't worry man as long as you eventually get em it's ok.

i did a three point turn on my test and backed into some whelly bins, didnt knock them over so that was good!!! The car i learnt in was a 2000 model BMW 318i with full sports kit and stuff, very nice car!! Not only was a scared of failing the test for backing into the bins but my driving instructor ripping me a new areshole for hitting his beloved car that he fangs around calder park raceway in!! Turbo chick im sorry to hear that , by the way, i didnt know that tasmanian guys were interested in girls????!!! lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ugh, commiserations. If anyone in Melbourne is looking for an easy pass, come to Healesville with your instructor. It's fairly quiet up here, the RTA guys seem ok and there's no simulator. Just don't book on October 3rd (it's mine).

When i got it first go it was a piece of cake cos i was young, slow and impressionable, not knowing that driving testers were full of ****! When i lost it for demerit points 2 years later I had to do it all over again and it took me 2 goes before I got it back cos i did the test in my modified VL. Let's just say that they didn't look favourably on it but hey it's my car and that's what i was gonna be driving and im not forking $140 to use an instructor car. It was a bit funny, cos the first guy freaked when he saw what we were going in, he pretty much failed me then and there and i ended up giving him a drive to tell the kiddys about Man that was funny. I got picked up on 1 tiny (and i mean tiny) thing and he nailed me to the wall for it so the drive back to the testing centre was not of driving test approval ah well, ill never have to do that again Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If the driving instructor slapped my arse I'd break his face I failed mine once for not putting it in gear when I parked... had the hand brake on though. I never been told u had to before, told him that, then he said if the handbrake snaps the car will roll away. I said the wheels are turned in, im not on a hill it dosn't matter. He said I failed anyway regardless of what I said... he was a hell nob... then he started goin on about how his old XP falcon had a low compression engine and the break always failed on his driveway all the time etc etc wanted to stab him in the eyes with my keys after that Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I did my test in a country town in Queensland. I imagine that it would be hard doing the test in the cities. I've also heard that the tests in NSW are harder too. Can anyone confirm this?
