Hey guys... I am just about to transfer a disk to disk vl diff with 3.45 gears into my bros vl which currently has the drum brakes and 3.08 gear setup. I need to know what i have to do to make the speedo normal ? so that its calibrated etc.. blah blah... The 3.45 diff will be bolted up to a na vl automatic transmission. I've heard something about a gear that has to be changed or some **** to calibrate the speedo ??? anyone know what its called, how much it is and where in brisbane i can get it.. Any info from anyone who's done this conversion would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Ollie.

dude all 6 cyl VL's have 3.45:1. only the v8's have the 3.08, unless someone has done a strange mod to your car. let me know how you go with that conversion, i plan to do the same to mine as well as changing bushes, shocks etc, at around christmas time. its stage 1 for the turbo conversion.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ohh i see... I had this strange idea (not knowing much about diffs, or anything for that matter) that manual vls had the 3.45's and the autos had the 3.08s ?? oh well.. thanks heaps guys.. and i'll let u know how it all goes. so its all good then.. staight swap without having to change **** ?

Definately 3.45's in all 6 cyls. 3.08's were ONLY in the 8 cyl's
