Sorry for the boring post guys, buthas anyone had a prob with there air conditioning? My whole one is unplugged from the freak who had it b4 me and i was wondering if its a do it yourself job to re-connect it or who would i take it to to get it fixed. Second Question, in general does everyone have there boot button in the glove box connected? Did yas connect it like in another spot of the car to make it handier? Is it the black and orange wires and could an auto electrician get this going? Sorry Sorry Sorry Luke

Yeah my boot button is connected... I have two red wires though... I'm so special Whats wrong with yours? it dosn't work? I like it in the glove box actually, neat and tidy, but maybe if you can't be arsed reaching over you could put it on the left in that little cover thing near the steering wheel Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

its in the glove box for a reason! passengers in my car seem to just love pressing buttons at random! you dont want boot flying open from someone pressing it or from bumping it Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Some people disconnect the button totally, usually because they have subs or expensive stuff in the back and it makes it so much easier to clean out with the button working. I guess you could just lock it, but there's a lot of effort contained in that...

yeah, i don't want people touching any of my crap that happens to be in the glovebox! plus it is a good security mechanism against stereo theft. i took out the solenoid cause it was broken. makes the boot lid a bit lighter as well as for the air con unit, i wouldn't do it myself... again, cause i sorta didn't do it right and now the controls don't work exactly at each interval on the panel. but get one of those service guide for the vl 6cyl and have a look

my little bro opened mine at 150km/h. lets just say he won't do it again, and that his little piggy bank is a few dollars shorter....

If you relocate and use a different type of button then make sure the button can handle bout 15amps or hook it through a relay, solinoid uses bout 10 from memory. otherwise it'll work a couple of times and burn out! As for the aircon, be careful.
