I'm planning on building up a n/a RB30e to Turbo specs.Mods will hopefully include cleaned up head,different cam,std cr,bigger injectors,Wolf 3D,Hi-flowed turbo,around 15psi max,3inch exhaust,GTR sized cooler.Does that sound like 200+rwkw material.Any ideas.

sounds pretty much spot on mate, maybe look into a T3-T4 hybred turbo tho.

Yer are u using a standard rb30 engine? 'coz theres the usual de-comp thatz necessary and all the other lil fiddly bitz, also just a suggestion.. that the standard vl turbo injectors are quite capable of flowing 200kw, maybe the usual bigger fuel pump, etc. but injectors shouldnt be a problem. A much cheaper option is just 2 run an extra injector or two, controlled by a microfueller. This setup does get a bit 'howz it goin' once u start pushing for more power, and leaning out the engine.. however is extremely suitable for a 200kw car, and does work well as a quick street car, that does perform jsut as well on the track. Anywayz thatz my 2 cents, (more like $2) but just throwing in a few suggestions. Cheerz! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Are we talking 200rwkw here? Because thats roughly 300kw at the motor, and if thats the case. Depending on the size turbo, (High flowed to3 will need more than 15psi as a max to get that sort of power alone) you will need to take a more serious look at your fueling system. Not to mention your auto will need to be strengthened, and one can't forget the brakes, the na brakes will not cut it for a car with that kind of grunt. Thats just the begining of what you should be looking at. Cheers

Yer as Bluft said, you will need to look at brakes. You know its one thing to have the flashiest car, and hi flowing motor tweaked to performance but unless you can stop tha dam thing your got a nice car. If you cant stop it, you have a unsafe weapon............mmmmmmmmmmkay. Maybe airbags, and roll cage too if you wanna be seriouse.......ok so maybe not airbags, but you get where im comming from. YelLO-ChAsRr : Getting either forged or those hypertech (spelling) pistons so the comp will be standard VL turbo. -Bluft- : I'm getting a R33 GTS-t 5 speed or MX7 box, also the R33 turbo brakes. Thanks for the replies guys.

you can get 200rwkw at the wheels with standard injectors and some good tuning but that is about the limit of them.

WHT11: lol no way, a mate of mine has over 300rwkw, still with standard injectors, and the use of 2 extra injectors.. so 200rwkw aint nowhere near the limit for them. R31 POWER: id also suggest a decomp man, if ur going pretty much ballz out, just a spacer would do, it allows u to run heaps of timing in it, and therefore a lot of high constant boost, day in, day out.

I don't want to add extra injectors,it might work out cheaper but I've got the WOLF 3D.Someone said that Mazdz RX7(wich series) injectors fit straight in and flow more fuel is that true or crap. YelLO-ChAsRr : What do you mean by "decomp plate".

r31 power he is referring to whats called a "decompression plate" its around 1.2mm thick (does vary) and it sits between block and head , normally with a head gasket either side , thus raising the head about 3mm , therefore lowering the compression. it lowers the comp by approx 1.5 ratios. eg atmo = 9.0:1 atmo converted to turbo using decomp 7.5:1 its a mod used when converting atmo to turbo , but normally only when the person is retaining the original atmo pistons. if you are getting new pistons , then just get the turbo style (acl make good ones)

Yeah thought so,but yeah does'nt matter as i'm getting forged or those Hypertech(spelling) piston's at standard VL turbo compression.

Yer as OVL-087 said, i was reffering to it as the decompression plate, however they are not only used in atmo -> turbo conversions, they are used in standard turbo engines. They allow you to use avgas, etc much more than just on race meets, due tho the lower compression, and therefore enabling you to run higher boost then usual, constantly, without causing harm to your engine

yes thats true but if r31 is only going for a decent street combo etc then its not really nessacary
