i havent done it but everything is the same EXCEPT the vacuum modulator - the turbo one can handle boost. get a modulator from repco or something and it should work fine. in fact i have two sitting around, they are $60 new and you can have one of mine for the price of postage if you like. i most certainly wont be needing them! (converting to manual, and one of those is off a dead box i threw out). the n/a computer also controls lockup clutch and lots of people (me included) unplug those and it still works - so you shouldnt have a problem there either..

yeah and the turbo box's gear ratios would be differet too wouldnt they ? would they give an na better acceleration or top end or what ? just a few more interesting q's.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

AFAIK the boxes are identical apart from a few minor things... the modulator obviously, the turbo doesnt have a lockup clutch, and a few of the internal parts are stronger. you can easily rebuild an n/a box to handle power from a turbo.

gear ratios are the same, turbos just have a slightly higher rev limiter.
