Please help, I have just brought a nice VL turbo calais. That was for sale on these forms about a month ago " VL calais turbo with the works". Was the heading of the discussion, anyway! The only probelm I am having with it is when I quickly snap 1st gear to 2nd and back off the throttle with the clucth in it stalls. It quickly regains power when the clucth is droped. But this is still of concern to me as I **** bricks 8O when I was going rather to fast to loose power steering coming into a right hand sweeper. Any help would be much apreicated from anyone. Cheers, signed, "worried to race around tight corners", Gibbo.

take it to the track man,not the streets. and best bet is to get a mechanic to look at it hands on so he feels the car when it does it.

If it has a BOV venting to atmo, it could be over fueling, causing it to stall. If this is the case, get a recirculating BOV. Should sort out the problem as ong as you can live without the Psshhht sound. Cheers

Im with Blueft on this one, if the car has a BOV and its not recirculated it will over fuel and stall. also, you should have already selected your gear by the corner, so you can power hard out of it Mick Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

when you live in far north queensland their is not two many cars on the road and definatly no race tracks around so have to make do with the natural landscape. Thanks for the help with the BOV, But I like the Psssh too much.
