i am looking at doing some fairly minor mods and want to know how each will efect the car. they are:-Exhaust -Cold air -port and polish What are your thoughts on those mods. is it worth doing the cold air intake if thats all i intend to do. How much extra power will this lot get me. Thanx for any help

cold air intake is one (if not) the easiest and best mod as it costs next to nothing in money and time. however, if it is the only mod u consider doing, i would not consider doing it. otherwise your car would be stuck in the for sale bracket of 'cheaper than average coz u stuffed up an original car.' as originality often brings older buyers who actually have money to spend, you would sell the car quik'n'ez. but as soon as they see (if they see) the 100mm pipe hanging out from under the car, consider yourself buggered. in other words, go all the way or keep it orig.

What about the other mods when combined together?

Doing it all together will help. I did everything one at a time. I do believe that getting an exhaust system and putting in a cold air intake make more power. For the exhaust if you just do extractors, then that will be a cheap and significant improvement. Then get a high flow catalyctic converter, although they can be sort of expensive. If you don't want to cut a hole in your guard panel, cutting more holes into the bottom half of the air filter box makes a fair air flow increase. Get one from the wreckers and keep your original if you want to restore the car to standard when you want to sell it.
