Hi all Just seeing if you can modify a regular HSV rim and backspace it. I know two piece wheels it can be done but not sure if a 1 piece can. Anyone dOne something like this and if so rough costs. I'm guessing it's expensive. Cheers

mmmm, Don't know about deep dishing a HSV rim. It might place stress on the structural integrity of the rim & load. Have you thought about buying a different style deep dish rim??

I cant see how this would work without getting a custom wheel made and copying a hsv wheel for the centre.

Which would mean chopping the rim in half. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah most likely will go with something like a convo pro but just seeing if it can be done. I read that you have to use two rims to makE the one rim if that makes sense. Dow anyone know of any wheel places who modify rims? Cheers

Get a billet HSV rim made. Any size/backspace you could want pricey though unless you know someone with a 5 axis cnc

Not just the price of the billet and CNC but the cost of digitizing the HSV rim, designing the new one with the strength to hold up, and passing the Aus standards so you could run it on the street, it would be a ridiculous amount for a one off set of rims.

Passing the Aus standard would be a bitch, but i'd have no problem digitizing it if anyone was interested.
