Hey guys who's done it? I have access to one that's come out of a calais, has all the wiring and all but what I want to know is how did you go with all your options e.g Ac, and calais options wiring How's the power with the turbo compared to the rb30 can you get more out of it? Did you still use your stock trans or upgrade? I'm debating whether to go a8 turbo or go with rb25 or stick with my rb30 turbo a6 I have now Thanks ahead for your opinions Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The rb25 makes more power out of the box and is a lot nicer to drive as well. Extracting power out of the rb25 is a lot easier as well, they will support 300kw at the wheels without needing to open the engine at all, so for power on a budget the 25 is the way to go

yeah iv got a stock 25 in mine atm. as far as conversions go - they dont get any easier. the hardest part is the wiring but there are a heap of threads around on how to wire it up. I did it myself and it only took about 30min to get going. im running an r33 5 speed box with a twin plate clutch and the car still gets driven everywhere. would defenetly recomend the r33 box over an mx7 - especially considering iv found heaps of boxes in good cond for under $700 as will82 said, they are easy to make power with and they are much stronger and more reliable than 30's check out build threads on SAU - heaps of guys are making good power with out alot of mods. pretty soon i have a T66, microtech LT12s, sard 600cc injectors, sard rising rate fuel reg, forward facing plenum, 6boost exhaust manifold and a tial 44mm waste gate and that will be plenty to get me 400hp at the rears semi relaibly (atleast alot more reliably than with a stock rb30et)
