Having a problem with a vl im trying to get running. Has sat for a number of months. Will not run. Occasionally will fire for a little bit then stall. Other times will not fire at all. Have checked the following - Engine compression and valve timing is ok Fuel in tank and fuel to rail, pressure ok Tried mulitple cas in , spark ok Removed distributor, spun with ignition on and can hear injectors pulse Listened with a screw driver whilst cranking, injectors are pulsing If carby cleaner is sprayed into intake it will fire, so am wondering if injectors could be blocked? Have tried putting 12v to them for a few seconds each to unblock them . Plugs look dry after cranking Please help, this is doing my head in

The injectors should have power to them all at same time when ing is on as the ecu switchs the earth on and off to open them. If your getting a fire when introducing a fuel via the intake system then spark and timing should be fine leaving only fuel as fault. Try removing the supply hose to the rail and checking got a plenty of fuel flow ( flow is different to pressure , pressure is the resistance to flow ) If getting a good supply of fuel and the injectors have power but still got dry spark plugs that leaves ecu not switching earth or blocked injectors..
