Hi guys, did some research and couldn't come up with any results. Mate of mine dropped his bike (road bike) and damaged the VIN tag on the chassis. The tag is still there , barely hanging on by 1x rivet and is still readable but looks pretty messed up. How does he go about acquiring a replacement, what are the correct or necessary step? 2008 gixer. Any help would be appreciated

We spoke to a few people there that were either incompetent or not too happy to help

I'm guessing your mate need to go through vic roads or have a licenced motorbike mechanic do a road worthy then order the replacement vin tags for him? As long as he has all the paperwork on the bike and it's registered i'm sure he could get them....and yes vic roads do have sh** house service.

I used to work at peterstevens as a mechanic and when we did crash repairs with bikes that needed vin tags mainly gixxers because of the stupid position they where in, we had to contact Suzuki Australia and organize one through them. Hope this points u in the right direction Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
