Should be 1986-87 roughly the same year as VL's were produced. I have seen heaps of pintaras in the wrecking yards complete with diff. Why 4.11's though? I'd be keeping the standard gears or going for a 3.7.

just get a complete diff assembly from a R31 pintara, later ones were front wheel drive. There should be a tag on one of the bolts for the diff centre cover plate. this tag will have the ratio, serial number, etc on it. by buying a complete diff you will get all the pintara bits u need, You should be able to get one for under $100 second hand with warranty

From what I know, all R31 Pintaras ran 4.11 diff ratio whether being auto or manual. They are only a 2 pinion diff like the open wheelers in n/a vls. The r31 Skylines came with 4 pinion open wheeler diffs as standard with 3.9 and 3.7 ratios for auto and manual respectively.
