My bro is looking at buying either an R33 gts-t or a nissan 200sx (S14).
I've done a search but haven't found anything on this. Does anyone own either one of these cars. If so what kind of problems should we look for when buying one. And also which car would anyone recommend.

theres a R33 in the for sale section
for more info the best bet would be to try the skylines forum or performance forums

Get onto the MCCR forums (http://www.melbccr.com/) cuz most of the car's on there are jap imports and those guys will be able to give you good advice if your brother wants to go that way.

Definitely go the S14. Syklines are as common as a Commodore these days, and the gts-t and gts models are falling into the same category as the 180sx and Silvier, as a *cheap* Japanese sports car alternative. The S14 has a reputation of it's own, and if you have the right bodykit, rims and paintjob, they look as good as anything.
Everyone's sick of Skylines these says anyway.

12-08-04, 17:06 GMT+10#10 yep i never liked the styling of the skylines, the S14's are a much nicer car in my opinion. everybody has skylines these days they're getting lame, bit like an SS commodore or something. you used to go "oh wow, check that out!" but now don't even bat an eyelid when you see one.

i like the S14 i also like th R33 also but there is alot more R33's going around then the S14..
I would say the S14 but get the S14a a mate of mine had one and it was nuts he sold it for less then what it should of sold for ended up selling it for $23,500 and it had 70,00kms on the clock from factory.. always sat in his garage doing nothing as he worked int he city and the trainline was right next to his place plus no parking etc..

12-08-04, 19:13 GMT+10#12 Thanks for the advice. But u know how hard it is to find a 200sx that he likes. Stock s14's are going for like $21,000. And for that price he could get a mildly worked skyline. But i do agree that the skylines are way too common. And also were looking for the s14 with the trianglular sort of headlights, not the rounded ones. If u guys know what i mean. And that makes looking for a nice s14 even harder.

18-08-04, 18:31 GMT+10#13 what u talkin bout? shuttup, stop thinkin and get urself an s14 series2. these things are animals, i rekon the best road cars, (second to VLts of course) bulletproof engine, bulletproof gearboxes, sik handelling, and absolutely fly. skylines, wrx, any V8, are no mach for them.
i love my sr20's...
